How do I make sure that Pomp T heats when energy prices are low?
The Pomp T can be used as a heat battery by turning it on when energy prices are low, so you can stay warm when prices are high. We call this “Smart heating control.” Read this article to learn how to set it up.
With Smart Heating Control, we use current energy prices to have your Pomp T heat at the cheapest times. This may be when energy prices are low or when your solar panels are generating a lot of electricity.
Are you a Frank Energie customer? Then you can take advantage of the low energy prices that apply to you at that time. To do this, you need to link your DeWarmte account to the Frank Energie app.
Not a Frank Energie customer? Then the national average energy prices will be used.
Frank Energie — for Frank Energie customers only
Frank Energie offers dynamic energy contracts with current, low energy prices. If you have a contract with Frank Energie, you can control the Pomp T based on the most up-to-date energy prices. To do this, connect your Pomp T to the Frank Energie app as follows:

- Open the Frank Energie app.
- Tap ‘Smart Home’.
- Tap ‘Smart Heating’.
- Select ‘DeWarmte’.
- Log in using your mydewarmte.com credentials.
- You will be asked for permission to share usage data. Check the box and tap ‘Authorize’.
Please note: It is not yet possible to connect the Pomp MP or Pomp AO to Frank Energie.
Enabling Smart Heating Control
Would you like to enable Smart Heating Control? Follow these steps:

- Open the DeWarmte app.
- Go to ‘Settings’.
- Select your Pomp T.
- Under ‘Control’, tap ‘Smart heating control’.
- Read the additional terms and conditions and tap ‘Accept’ (you only need to do this once).
- Select ‘Control enabled’ to turn on Smart Heating.
- Check ‘Optional: I have connected to NOX through the Frank Energie app’ if you have completed the Frank Energie steps above.
Optimization options
Dynamic Tariff Optimization
When you enable this option, the Pump T heats when energy prices are low. When this option is disabled, the system uses fixed energy prices and controls your Pump T as efficiently as possible.
Solar Self-Consumption Optimization
When you enable this option, the Pump T heats when your solar panels are generating a lot of electricity, for example on sunny days.
Note: It is not possible to select these options if you also have Frank Energy connected. Do you have Frank Energy connected? Then do not select either of these options.
Pomp T temperatures
You can set the temperature range within which you want the Pomp T to heat. You can do this under ‘Pomp T temperature allowable range’.
Please note that the Pomp T will activate its internal electric heating element when heating the water above 60°C.
